Kaomojibalms Lip Balm review

I recently received a PR email to tell me all about Kaomojibalms – a fresh new brand that’s from the USA and currently available in Topshop. The company asked if I’d like to try their lip balms and share my thoughts with my readers. I read a little more into the Kaomojibalms and was impressed to see that the company aim to use natural products free from patroleum jelly that will not only heal chapped lips, but moisturise and soothe lips in the longterm too.

The balms are free from parabens and phthalates and contain vitamin E that’s well known for it’s nourishing properties. Kaomojibalms also do not use animal products within their balms and do not test on animals. After doing a little research, I emailed back with acceptance of the offer and eagerly awaited the arrival of the balms.

The balms currently come in four different flavours; Cherry Pom, Coconut Cream, Frosted Mint and French Vanilla, and come in a variety of different emoji printed cases. I was so happy to receive the Frosted Mint and French Vanilla balms.

I wasn’t sure whether the balms would be quite faddy, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the Frosted Mint balm and felt the lovely, rich formula. The Frosted Mint balm smells absolutely gorgeous – exactly like an After Eight mint! I love the cooling, tingling effect it has on the lips that feels so refreshing and soothing. As you’ll probably know, I’m currently taking Accutane so dry lips are somewhat of a problem lately. The Kaomojibalms lip balm kept my lips feeling soothed, hydrated and comfortable throughout the day.

The French Vanilla balm has a softer scent and doesn’t have the tingling effect, but still feels so nourishing and soothing on the lips.

The balms come in a little plastic square box with the emoji printed on the front. The balm itself sits in the middle of the square in a little round bump making application really easy and quick. I noticed that you can also pull out the balm on the platform that it sits on so that you can swap your balms over to different cases if you prefer a different emoji.

My favourite balm out of the two that I received is definitely the Frosted Mint as it’s so cooling and soothing, and it has a smooth texture whereas the French Vanilla has more of a crystallised texture (unless that’s just mine).

I think the Kaomojibalms will really appeal to a younger audience and that they’ll make quirky little stocking fillers for Christmas too!
