April 2018 Lookfantastic Beauty Box unboxing

This April the lookfantastic beauty box is geared around Beauty Awakening. It’s all about awakening our skin, updating our beauty routine and discovering new brands to put a spring in our step. This month we’re seeing cult brand favourites in our boxes and celebrating the very best in natural ingredients.

First of all I want to make a huge apology to my lovely readers and YouTube subscribers. My lookfantastic Beauty Box only arrived on the 28th of April so my unboxing is extremely late this month. I know it’s very late in the month to be featuring the April box with May just a day away, but after so many of you kept asking me to let you know my thoughts no matter how late it arrived, I couldn’t refuse. This time however, I’m going to let you know my thoughts in a blog post.

I know so many of you really look forward to these videos each month. I already have May’s box so rest assured, a new video will be coming soon.

Anyway, back to the box! The April box is seriously lovely if you’re into fresh, natural beauty. You can smell the divine products as soon as you open the box and the whole design has a gorgeous springy, revitalising feel. I was even more excited to see that the box hosts one of my favourite brands this month too! So, let’s get into it!

PUR Fully Charged Magnetic Mascara 
This mascara promises to add instant lift, volume and definition to the lashes with just one swipe. And it absolutely does! Using new magnetic technology the Magnetic Polymer Matrix binds each lash in a positive electric charge that gives a gorgeously dramatic lash fast. I really enjoyed testing this out and found it to be fast and easy to use. It didn’t wear away through the day, crumble or smear either. Bonus points for the applicator wand that is a dream to use.

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment
Glamglow has a cult following so I was very excited to try out my first Glamglow mask! This is to help with problem skin and blemishes and helps to unclog pore congestion with its blend of acids and oils. I loved how my skin looked and felt after using this but I wasn’t so keen on the scent at all. If you can get the past the scent, I think you’ll enjoy the results.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
I love a good cleansing balm so I’m certainly looking forward to using this offering from Emma Hardie! Perfect for daily use, the balm will remove makeup and impurities whilst rejuvenating dull skin for a brighter and hydrated face.

NUXE Creme Fraiche de Beaute
NUXE is one of my favourite beauty brands ever because their products are divine and the scent reminds me of old wealthy French women that have amazing style. The scent also transports me back to earlier blogging and vlogging days which make me smile! This is a gorgeously nourishing moisturiser that softens, soothes and protects skin for 48 hours with its ingredients of Vegetable Milks and Algae Extracts. A great addition to the April box!

Dr Botanicals Vegan Bergamot & Poppy Seed Soap
This smells amazing and is the product behind the beautifully scented box this month! Shea Butter and Macadamia Oil cleanse and hydrate the skin whilst the poppy seeds gently exfoliate. I loved using this soap bar and adored the fresh scent, but find it leaves a film in my bathtub each time that requires instant cleaning. I find this a lot with certain soaps and must admit that it does put me off. It smells amazing and was lovely to use but I’m not a fan of the cleanup afterwards.

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads
The pads are soaked in Glycolic Acid and Witch hazel to retexture, resurface and tone the skin surface. The moisturising formula includes Hyaluronic Acid and Blue Daisy. I love these cleansing pads and love how refreshed they leave my skin feeling too! I was looking forward to these arriving and they haven’t disappointed me one bit!
