Eye creams have always been a firm favourite of mine since I really started really getting into my skincare routine and taking it seriously, so when I was sent the balance me Tinted Wonder Eye Cream to try out, I was really excited to see what it would be like. The special thing about this cream is that it’s 99% natural so it’s ultra kind to your skin and doesn’t contain any nasties like parabens, sulphates, artificial fragrances or colours amongst other things. I’ve really started to take a keen interest into natural skincare, and after Lookfantastic released their #LFBlooms Beauty Box, my attention was firmly captured! The box was geared around Earth Month and boasted plenty of eco, natural and organic products, so I was thrilled to be sent this lovely product shortly afterwards to try out.
The eye cream is described as a natural formula that works to combat signs of ageing and fatigue around the eyes. It helps to minimise the appearance of dark circles, reduce puffiness and blur the look of fine lines. Something that comes in handy for both preventative eye care and for the treatment of existing issues. The formula is infused with Arctic Cloudberry (which is a mega antioxidant), Hyaluronic Acid and Rosehip Oil along with light reflecting particles that adapt to suit all skin tones. The eye cream has a hint of natural colour to help colour correct any dark circles and leave behind brighter, and smoother eyes.
The packaging says: “Our light-reflecting tinted eye cream glides on with ease and sinks in beautifully. To help brighten, refine and target the visible signs of ageing we’ve blended skin-brightening Lemon, Witch Hazel and Cucumber Oil with soothing Roman Chamomile, super hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and plumping Virgin Coconut Rosehip and Carrot Oils.”
The cream goes a really long way so only a small amount is needed to gently pat onto the eye area. I used the tiniest dot and found that it took a while to blend in. It feels really nourishing on the skin, and it also has a yellow tint which helps to brighten and colour correct. Personally, I thought the tint was a little too dark for me when I first applied it, but then again, my skin is super fair. I did find that it balanced out beautifully once my regular foundation was buffed over the top (MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15), and I think this would be an amazing product for anybody who has a fair to medium skin tone to use on it’s own or with a foundation. I really enjoyed using this product, and will continue to use it daily because I love the way it feels on my under eye area and how nourishing it feels. It’s the perfect product to help to smooth and brighten my skin for the summer and it’ll come in handy after all those late summer night BBQ’s and parties!
The eye cream comes in a 10ml size and retails at £20, buy yours here now and get to try three beautiful balance me products for the price of two!
