The Beauty Blogger Tag

Today’s post is the beauty blogger tag! A fun tag filled with beauty-related questions along with a few questions I’m frequently asked so decided to add in too!

1. Name a Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel Review 3beauty regimen that you rarely do?
I very rarely paint my nails. I’ve worn Calgel since I was in college so I have it infilled every two to three weeks so thankfully I don’t really have any need to paint them. Occasionally I’ll paint a glitter coat over the top if I want to jazz my nails up, but for the most part, I just wear gel. To be honest, I don’t particularly enjoy painting my nails which is quite unusual for somebody who used to be a nail therapist!

2. Is washing your makeup brushes something that you regularly do?
Absolutely! I wash my brushes weekly and my client kit makeup brushes are washed after each client to keep them clean and hygienic. Since I discovered the Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette, I’ve found washing my brushes really enjoyable rather than a task. You can see my review on the palette here if you’d like to know more about it.

3. How long do you last with chipped nails?
Thankfully as my nails are gel, they don’t really tend to chip at all. I cant stand if they start to peel though and I don’t like seeing my nails in desperate need of infills. I can last a day without picking at them and calling up for an appointment!

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty product if you need it?
I’m usually pretty organised with back ups of the products that I know I’m going to run out of soon! If I’m caught short, I’ll order the product on the same day that I run out or pop to the shops to pick a new one up immediately. I hate not having my regular, favourite products – it really throws my whole routine off!

5. What’s your worst beauty habit?
My worst beauty habit is not getting enough sleep! I find it really hard to sleep at times and I can see a huge difference in my skin if I don’t manage to get my eight hours a night. I love staying up late watching TV programmes or YouTube videos so I tend to go to bed later and wake up earlier than I’d like. I used to be able to lie in really well, but just lately, I’ve been waking up quite early and struggling to fall back to sleep. I used to be in the bad habit of sitting and working on my blog way into the wee hours but I’ve managed to curb that habit for now!

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time
Going to the doctors! Whether it be picking up a repeat prescription or seeing the doctor about any health issue I have, I absolutely hate going and put it off as long as possible. I know it’s really bad, but I tend to prioritise other things over going to see the doctor about aches and pains. Of course, if I felt seriously bad, I’d go right away but I try to make myself better at home with home-remedies first.

7. Can you commit to no-makeup buys?
If I really wanted to put my mind to it, then yes, I could commit. But do I want to? Hell no! So much temptation and so little time…

8. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?
My nail collection is simply a small drawstring bag full of a few polishes, nail files, clippers and nail accessories that me and my mum share. My makeup collection however…now that’s a whole different ball game! I have drawers and drawers full of makeup but everything is organised into different sections. The makeup I don’t tend to use often but can’t part with is stored away in my wardrobe in a tall makeup case. I’d quite like to get some perspex organisers and arrange my makeup out of my desk but the minimalist me would soon get bored of that and want a clear space once again!

9. What is your biggest beauty pet peeve?
It really irritates me when people don’t look after their skin or remove their makeup in the evening. It makes me cry inside thinking of all the bacteria and the clogged pores!

10. What skincare product can’t you live without?
My Garnier Micellar water is one of my favourite things to use in my skincare routine! I wear waterproof mascara and I find it takes it away gently and quickly. It’s also a lifesaver when I’ve been experimenting with new Halloween makeover looks and need to get the gunk and latex off my face.

11. If you were stuck on a desert island and you had to pick between lip balm, mascara and foundation, what would you take?
I’d choose the lip balm! If it was a tinted balm I could use it as cheek stain as well as a lip balm and I’d also apply it to my lashes and ends of my hair to moisturise them. I think my lips would dry out in no time in hot conditions so a lip balm would be my number one choice by far!

12. What’s your favourite DIY beauty treatment?
An Aspirin and Honey face mask is amazing for dealing with breakouts. It’s my favourite mask to make at home! Find my recipe and how to here.

I hope that you enjoyed my beauty blogger tag post! I tag anybody who’d like to take part! Leave your link down in the comments so I can check your tags out too!
