Beauty Empties

If you’re anything like me, it’s not often you’ll find yourself with a completely empty product bottle. I don’t really know why, I must just get bored halfway through using certain beauty products and end up switching it up to something new that’s caught my eye. Anything shiny or sparkly and I’m good to go! Anyway, I have four beauty empties to share with you today along with my verdict on whether I’d repurchase or not. It’s short and sweet so enjoy taking a read!

1. Brush Off Makeup Brush Cleanser
Brush Off is my most favourite quick change brush cleanser I’ve ever come across. Ever! I love to use it between colour changes of eyeshadows and to freshen my own brushes up in between deep cleans. The only problem is that I go through this stuff like lightening so I’m always having to buy in replacements! The bottle says you’ll get around 200 applications from the product and I tend to agree – from liquids to powders, a quick spritz and wipe with this miracle formula and your brushes will be fresh and clean again. Cleans, conditions, renews and dries within minutes for on-the-job convenience.

2. Carmex Moisture Plus in Pink
You all know how much I love my Carmex. I have one in my bag, one in my makeup room, one by my bed and several scattered about the home and studio just in case I need some, like, immediately! I really love the coloured versions of the balm which add a beautiful tint to lips. I’d even go as far to say that the tint can be worn as a moisturising lipstick due to the excellent colour payoff. This pink one is the one that I’ve currently run out of, but I really prefer the peach offering at the moment so I’ll probably not repurchase this particular colour until spring time. Don’t get me wrong, it’s stunning, but there’s just something about that peachy hue that I can’t get enough of right now.

3. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
This mascara has been well loved since I got it as part of my Naked On The Run Palette. It’s travelled back and forth with me from Edinburgh, to Leeds to Manchester and back to Barnsley. Not once did it dry out, clump or let me down. It’s a good ‘un. I love this mascara SO much that I will absolutely repurchase it again once I’ve run out of my Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes that I’m currently using.

4. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
Okay so, I’ve been through two of these in just as many months. No joke. When I say this concealer changed my life, I legit mean it! I find it has amazing coverage, sets perfectly and doesn’t crease under my eye area like every other concealer I’ve ever used does! I use this to conceal my undereye circles, highlight my cheekbones, highlight my brow bone and prep my eyelids for eyeshadow. Can you see why I go through so much now?! I only wish that the foundation in this range had the same sort of staying power and I’d be totally converted. I’ve already got two back ups but you know, there’s already two sitting in my basket again waiting for the checkout over on the Boots website…
