Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme review

Just recently I received my gorgeous November Lookfantastic Beauty Box. Within the box was the most gorgeously coloured lip product that I’ve tried in a very long time. Cue the absolutely stunning Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme!

The lip creme that I luckily received was a beautifully deep vampy red named 40’s Red – it almost reminded me of the same hues that the stunning 1920’s flapper girls used to wear that turned the heat on their makeup up a good few notches.

The formula is deliciously creamy upon application. Not creamy and thick, but luxuriously creamy and workable. I love the fact that I don’t need a lip liner in addition to this product as you have plenty of work time to line your lips without the colour bleeding and perfect your shape before filling in. Once freshly applied, the formula feels  little sticky and thick but this soon dries down to a completely matte texture.

I found that I could comfortably wear the lip creme for around 2 hours before having to apply a lip balm, but please remember that I’m currently on month 8 of my Accutane treatment on a hefty 80mg which severely dries out the lips as the most potent side effect. I think I’d easily be able to wear it all day should I not be having my treatment.

The lip creme wore so well over the few hours that I wore it and didn’t once flake away or appear patchy – not even when I applied a lip balm over the top. In fact, I had to use my eye makeup remover to remove the product from my lips once I’d washed off my makeup as it was holding on for the evening!

I really rate this gorgeous lip product and at £14.25 for 3.8g and an easy-to-use doe foot applicator, I’d say this is a beautiful winter lip option.
