I was recently sent a package of beautiful products that were completely new to me. Amongst them was the Rene Furterer Absolue Keratine Renewal Shampoo, the System Professional Luxeoil Keratin Restore Mask and the Grow Gorgeous Strengthening Oil.
As somebody who loves trying new haircare products out, I was really keen to crack these beauties open and see how they’d perform on my hair. My hair has always been something I’ve been a little precious about, and after an unfortunate incident at a salon that left my hair severely damaged to the point that it was breaking off, I took to wearing a wig for two years because I was so upset with how my natural hair looked. It was super short, damaged and several different shades of colours. Now, after many years of careful care and growing it out, my hair is much longer and healthier than it has been in years and I carefully select products that will help to nourish, restore and keep it in great condition.
The first product I tried was the Rene Furterer Absolue Keratine Renewal Shampoo, a sulphate and silicone free formula fortified with naturally active ingredients design to restore, rejuvenate and strengthen hair strands from root to tip. The shampoo combines plant-based keratin to rebuild hair structure, Camelina Oil to nourish and protect and Biocymentine to reinforce hair fibre. The shampoo instructs to apply to wet hair, massage in and leave for a few minutes before rinsing. This shampoo is an absolute dream to use and smells beautiful too. It has delicate notes of Bergamot, Peony and Violet that leave a really subtle hint of fragrance when washed out giving a beautifully clean, and fresh feel to the hair. Sometimes, my hair can feel a little brittle when I rinse out my shampoo, but this formula left my hair feeling much softer after rinsing, similar to how a conditioner would perform.
Next, I towel dried my hair gently before applying the System Professional Luxeoil Keratin Restore Mask. This mask feels beautifully creamy and rich and really leaves hair feeling soft and supple and really packs a shine! I LOVED using this not only because of how it made my hair feel, but because of the beautiful scent too! The mask is fortified with an expert blend of Jojoba, Argan and Almond Oils so you can imagine just how gorgeous this smells. It almost reminds me of marzipan and just smells absolutely divine. The formula promises to penetrate deep into the hair fibres during it’s ten minute wear time to strengthen and reconstruct and also replenish moisture. I really feel that this beautiful mask made blow drying my hair quicker and easier, and although it sounds a little far fetched, my natural hair colour looked more vibrant and my hair was super shiny and soft.
Lastly, after blow drying my hair I used the Grow Gorgeous Strengthening Oil. I’d never heard of this brand before so I was intrigued to read up about them and try the product out. This is a lightweight oil that works best on dry hair to help maintain healthy lustre to hair through the lengths all whilst protecting from protein loss caused by UV damage. The oil is infused with Chia Seed oil along with a blend of sustainably-sourced Amazonian Brazil Nut and Sacha Inchi Oils. I use the oil daily on my dry hair through the lengths as instructed and find that it’s fast-absorbing, lightweight and all round pretty damn lovely to use.
I love the design of the bottle too – with it’s pipette design, its hard to overuse this product which means you get just the right amount and avoid waste. The scent of the oil is very unusual but gorgeous! It almost reminds me of a lovely male cologne scent mixed with something you’d expect to find in a high class spa. The scent lingers long after application which I love because hair feels freshly washed even days after.
I’m so happy to have been sent these beautiful products to discover, after only trying the shampoo and mask a few times up until now, I’m already certain that I’d not want to switch to a different product once these run out. I’m going to continue using the Grow Gorgeous Oil daily too to see if that works any small miracles with my hair.
If you’re in the market for beautiful, luxurious haircare to keep your tresses in top condition over the winter, I can’t recommend these gorgeous hair beauties enough.
