It’s not often that I come across a moisturiser that stops me in my tracks and makes me fall in love all over again. I’ve tried many, many moisturisers out over the years. Some an absolute bargain and some worth a months wage, and all with very mixed results. It’s not always the most expensive of moisturisers that turn out to be the best for my skin. Brand wise, I have a real love for skincare from Decleor, Caudalie and Nuxe, so as soon as the Lookfantastic Birthday Edit Beauty Box arrived with a Decleor product, my hopes were so very high.
The Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Hydrating Gel Cream is 70% water-based in texture which helps it to really sink in and hydrate the skin without feeling heavy. It has a gorgeous scent of Neroli Essential oil to help calm and comfort our skin and is also fortified with Moringa Oleifera Extract (Moringa leaves are reportedly full of antioxidants like vitamins C, B and A). The gel cream is said to create a protective veil on the skin’s surface during wear to defend against pollution particles and dehydration all whilst restoring luminosity thanks to the anti-inflammatory effects of Centella Asiatica.

Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Hydrating Gel Cream review | Rachael Divers
Gels are something that I haven’t tended to get along with too well in the past, I’ve always found them a little wet and sticky to use and certainly haven’t found them the most hydrating. But the gel combined with a cream texture in this formula is an absolute dream to apply to the skin. I can’t tell you how soothing, comforting and luxurious this gorgeous gel cream feels to use, or how soft and nourished my skin feels after the application.
Thanks to the beautifully silky texture, this cream makes an excellent primer before makeup, and the most gorgeously nourishing moisturiser before bed too. It leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and well cared for.
Sometimes I find that skincare can feel like a chore if you’re not fully enjoying the products that you’re using, but I cannot tell you how lovely it feels to use this gorgeous moisturiser day in day out. I can’t praise it enough and highly recommend it for normal to combination skin types.
