ESPA Tri-Active Advanced Instant Facial review

Skincare is such an important part of my daily routine. From cleansing my skin in the morning and starting the day feeling refreshed and revitalised to taking the day away in the evening and enjoying ‘me time’. I’ve always been hugely interested in skincare, and even pondered the option of training as a dermatologist in times past. Skincare fascinates me to put it simply. It amazes me how certain routines and ingredients can help to freeze the visible effects of time on our skin and leave us looking glowing, flawless and youthful without the help of makeup.

Late autumn and winter is a time of the year where I feel my skins starts to struggle a little. Central heating and extreme changes in temperatures can wreak havoc on my skin and I have to remind myself to keep drinking water to nourish my skin from the inside too.

Just recently I was sent the beautiful Tri-Active Advanced Instant Facial to try. Described as an “age-defying 3-in-1 serum, essence and treatment oil to instantly smooth and hydrate while brightening the complexion”, I had high hopes. I don’t think there’s anything more luxurious than a gorgeous skincare routine filled with beautiful products that are enjoyable to use. I feel that if you enjoy your skincare routine, you’re absolutely likely to stick to it and look forward to that time in your day. And there’s no doubting that ESPA products are both gorgeous and enjoyable to use.

This gorgeous 3-in-1 contains antioxidant macroalgae cell extract which helps to smooth the appearance of fine line, white truffle extract to boost elasticity and coconut, joboa and avocado oils to nourish and strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier.

After cleansing and toning, 1 to 2 pumps should be warmed in the palm of your hands then pressed into the skin gently all across the face, décolleté and neck. I follow this with my regular moisturiser both day and night.

I have recently just completed my course of the Acne banishing drug Isotretinoin (also known as Accutane), so my skin has been both dry and de-hydrated due to the treatment. Because of the extra dryness, I can’t tell you how much I look forward to using this beautiful serum in my routine and how comforted and soft my skin feels once I’ve applied it. I use two pumps which I find is plenty enough and really enjoy the light but nourishing consistency. The scent is beautifully soft – a gorgeously soothing jasmine-like scent that brings the spa to my home every single day.

My skin is always left looking radiant, nourished and fresh thanks to this step in my routine.
I’ve only been using ESPA’s Tri-Active Advanced Instant Facial for around three weeks now, but since I first tried it out it’s been a part of my routine. So much so that I even took it away with me when I spent the night in Manchester at my cousin’s house. I couldn’t bear to leave it at home!
