Everything 5 Pounds Review and Haul

Just recently Everything 5 Pounds contacted me and asked me if I’d like to pick some items of their clothing complimentary. I’d read a lot about the company in the past and had come across many reviews – some great, some not so great. A few of my friends had also asked me in the past if I’d ordered anything from there before and about the quality of the clothing. I thought this would be a great time to try the website out for myself and order a few new items to enjoy.

Everything 5 Pounds is an online store where everything is priced at £5 (or less during sale times!) and includes clothing for men, women and children along with shoes, homeware and even toys. Clothing styles are geared around high street trends and stock is fast moving so if you see something you like, it’s best to snap it up straight away.

Skirt, Jacket & Scarf from Everything5Pounds.com

I browsed the site over a couple weeks before I picked my final pieces as I struggled to find certain items in the clothing sizes that I needed, but I soon found that new stock was added. As summer is on its way out, I wanted to pick pieces with a more Autumn/Wintery vibe that would see me through the colder seasons so I picked a black Wrap Hem Body Con Dress, a Camel coloured Tie Up Long Line Jacket, a Pleated Suedette Skirt, and a brown Fair Isle Print Scarf featuring the cutest reindeer pattern.

My clothes arrived very quickly with Royal Mail in the same kind of packaging that orders from boohoo and the like would arrive in. I was pleasantly surprised with a couple of items but disappointed with some.

The clothes were easy to style up with a few pieces of my favourite winter jewellery

Black Wrap Hem Body Con Dress
The dress was probably my least favourite item in terms of material – 95% Polyester and 5% Elastane that feels a little scratchy on the skin. The dress was extremely tight on me but looked quite nice on. I’m going to keep hold of it because I think it’ll fit quite nicely if I were to drop a few pounds which I fully intend to do over the next few weeks. The label had been cut out of the dress which I found a little odd.

Tie Up Long Line Jacket in Camel
The Tie Up Long Line Jacket looks lovely when on and also feels quite nice. It looks beautiful from a distance, but the sewing finish on the collar is shocking up close which really lets the jacket down. My jacket arrived with pen marks all across the back but I’m sure this will come off in the wash. Overall, I think it’s a lovely piece and will be a staple lightweight long jacket to layer on in the colder weather.

The stitching detail wasn’t great on the collar of the jacket

Pleated Suedette Skirt
This is one of my favourite items from my Everything 5 Pounds haul! It has a zip at the back and fits very well as a high-waisted skirt which is how I prefer to wear mine. The fabric is very light and does look like a suede finish.

I just LOVE the print and feel of this gorgeous Fair Isle Scarf

Fair Isle Print Scarf in brown
My favourite item from my haul without doubt! I love the cute little reindeer and will get tons of use out of this lovely scarf in the winter months. It feels lovely, soft and silky and would make a gorgeous christmas gift too.

Wintery weather calls for layering and a hot coffee!

Overall I’m pleased with my pieces, but I feel that attention to detail lets some of them down. The main disappointment was the stitching detail on the collar of the jacket as I feel that it really ruins the look of an otherwise lovely piece and I believe that quality should remain regardless of the price. Would I recommend the website? Yes! As long as you make your selections carefully I think you could pick up some great pieces for your holidays or even nights out.
