How to book your Wedding Makeup Artistry for 2018 and 2019

Wedding season is almost upon us so if you haven’t already booked your wedding makeup artist, now is the perfect time. I tend to book up two years in advance and have a waiting list for 2020, so even if your wedding isn’t this year or next, it’s a good idea to secure your date way ahead of time.

I cannot tell you how much of a privilege it is to be entrusted with such a special job. Bridal makeup artistry is something extremely special and something that I always love to provide. After winning multiple awards for my makeup artistry and business practice, I can assure you that you are in extremely safe hands and will have a wonderful experience.

Many brides ask me about the process of booking, so please read below to find out how Bridal Makeup Design works at Rachael Divers Makeup Artistry.

How to book your Wedding Makeup Artistry for 2018 and 2019 | Rachael Divers

1. Make an enquiry for your date and get a personalised quote
Your first port of call will be to contact me via my Bridal Makeup Design enquiry form to tell me about your wedding. The form covers everything from your date and venue to exactly who needs makeovers and trials for the big day. Once this has been received I’ll be in touch with a personalised and itemised quote and on hand to answer any further questions.

2. Pay your booking fee
If your date is free and you’re happy to go ahead with your booking the next step is to put down your booking fee. This is a non-refundable and non-transferable payment that is taken at the time of booking to secure your date. This means that nobody else can book your date and that it will be kept free just for you. The booking fee is always 50% of the total cost of the service being provided. So if your total cost is £400, your booking fee will be £200 with the remaining £200 left to pay 30 days before your special day.

3. Arrange your trial
The next (and very exciting) step is to arrange your bridal trial! You’ll be welcomed to the studio for a two hour session where we’ll discuss your wedding, your colour schemes, your dress and any makeup ideas that you might have. This is a personal one-to-one session with me where you can completely relax and get to know me and how I work in preparation for your big day. I do not allow spectators into the studio for bridal trials, it is a private session for the makeup artist and bride only. We’ll trial up to two makeup looks (usually one natural and one a little heavier) and take photographs of each. At the end of your session we’ll have picked your perfect bridal makeup look. Once you’ve left to go home, I’ll head to the office to write up a personalised PDF ready for your big day which includes the photographs, a list of all the products used and special instructions so that I have a detailed plan to follow on the day to get your preferred bridal look just right.

4. Arrange your bridesmaids/bridal party trials
Bridesmaids and Bridal Party trials are to be taken separately to bridal trials and last for one hour per person. All trials are to be taken in studio where you’ll be looked after and pampered from the moment you walk through the door.

5. Pay off your final balance and await your special day
You’ll need to pay your final balance 30 days before your special day. I understand that this can be a hectic time so you’ll be sent a reminder just in case it might have slipped your mind. So now all that’s left to do is await your big day!

6. Enjoy your Bridal makeover!
On the day you’ll arrive to the studio to sweet treats and welcome drinks as you relax and enjoy your Bridal Makeup Design experience. If I’m travelling to your venue you can rest assured that myself and assistant will arrive in plenty of time to set up and begin your makeovers. Once your makeovers are over we’ll check for any touch ups that might be required before packing our kit away and leaving you to enjoy your big day!
