Kim Kardashian inspired Bridal makeup for Vicki

Just last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of making this gorgeous bride over ready for her special day. Vicki is a huge fan of Kim Kardashian and wanted to take inspiration from her wedding makeup and translate it into her own.

I was so looking forward to applying Vicki’s makeup for her, because not only is she an amazing client, but also a friend to me too! I met her some years ago when she came to me for a Halloween makeover – I made her over into a skeleton and, funnily enough, that Halloween night was the first time her now husband told her her loved her! How sweet!

Anyway, back to Vicki’s wedding day! I always love to spoil my lovely clients with some gorgeous treats (usually cupcakes) to enjoy on their wedding morning, along with some refreshing bubbles (usually a fruity mocktail). This time, it was Red Velvet, Chocolate Fudge and Strawberry Cream cupcakes with a firm favourite bottle of bubbles on the side. Tea and freshly ground coffee was on the go too for that early morning caffeine fix, of course.

I love seeing my bridal clients’ faces once they walk into the studio and see the table laid out with sweet treats just for them and their lovely bridal party to enjoy throughout the morning. I also love seeing their faces as they read their special card. There’s something extra special and radiant about a bride on her big day, and I just love that aura around them.

Vicki’s makeup was focused around her beautiful eyes which I created a rounder shape for and also added gorgeous depth with a blown out liner. I used some of my favourite products from MAC Cosmetics to sculpt her face, and of course, added a beautiful highlight too before finishing her look off with a good dose of cult favourite, Velvet Teddy.

 

Vicki’s mum and sister were also treated to a makeover and mini facial massage (something that I give to all of my lovely ladies seen as it’s both gorgeously relaxing and plumps the skin too!)

It was an absolute pleasure to make over Vicki, her gorgeous mum and sister too! I was so touched and had to hold back the tears after Vicki’s sister told me how special she felt and how much she loved her makeup. She isn’t used to wearing any makeup at all as she usually feels too caked, but today, she said she felt amazing. Her and Vicki’s mum also paid me a lovely compliment on the softness of my touch when applying makeup and told me how much they loved their mini facial massages too. Their sincere and beautiful compliments really touched me and made my heart absolutely burst with pride. This is exactly why I do what I do – because I want to make people look and feel truly beautiful, confident and special.

Thank you so much Vicki for allowing me to be a part of your special day, and for introducing me to two more wonderful women too. Sending you and David all the love and luck in the world for your new adventure into married life.
