Hello and welcome to my May Beauty Favourites! May has been one heck of a month that’s seen my client base grow, and also offered me a new venture in the form of teaching Media Makeup at a college level. It’s been a really exciting, progressive month, and along the way, I’ve discovered a few new beauty favourites that I’ve fallen head over heels for.
My hero beauty favourites of this month have been the gorgeous Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette, the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette and my two new Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadows.

May Beauty Favourites | Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows in Whimsical and In the Spotlight
I’d heard thousands of amazing reviews on Makeup Geek eyeshadows, and I’ve always been one for shiny, glittery shadows that have a high impact, so the foiled shadows sounded right up my street. I ordered two, In the Spotlight, and Whimsical. Let me just say, WOW! These shadows are seriously pigmented, bright and beautiful! Whimsical is the perfect ultra bright brow highlight, and In the Spotlight is the perfect spotlight shade for lids to show off a cut crease or create a dramatic, gorgeous party look.

After speaking to some of my students at college and swatching their Zoeva eyeshadows, I was ultra impressed with the pigmentation, the way the product blended out and also the amazing price point (£18 for 10 eyeshadows! That’s around £1.80 per eyeshadow) I had to order some right away, and I chose the Cocoa Blends Palette and the Smoky Palette. Both are amazingly pigmented, outstanding value and extremely versatile. I will definitely order more in the future when I need to add to my current professional kit.

May Beauty Favourites | Zoeva Cocoa Blend and Smoky Palette
My last hero product for the month is the beautiful Alice in Wonderland Palette from the Disney and Urban Decay collaboration. I’ve always been a massive fan of Urban Decay and I’ve owned many a palette, so when this one cropped up, I just had to have it. It not only looks beautiful, but the colours are ultra-pigmented, versatile (I used them on my eyes, cheeks and lips) and great value for money. (£43 for 20 eyeshadows – that’s £2.15 each eyeshadow not to mention the packaging and dual ended brush included!)
