My Top 5 Makeup Bag Favourites for January

My makeup drawers are always full of all sorts of makeup products – I love to experiment and mix my makeup up on a daily basis. However, there are a few certain makeup goodies that stand the test of time and are always in my makeup bag. Welcome to my post on my top 5 makeup bag favourites for January featuring my favourite base and concealing products right through to my signature scent…

1. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the colour Fair
The perfect concealer for concealing imperfections, brightening the under eye area and prepping the eyelids for makeup! I’ve used this concealer for absolute years and I’ve always loved the amazingly full coverage and staying power. I only wish the tube was a little bigger as I go through these little babies like hotcakes!

2. INIKA Loose Mineral Foundation in the colour Grace
I was first introduced to INIKA by celebrity makeup artist Armand Beasley. A natural and organic brand, INIKA make products that perform beautifully whilst using wonderful, kind-t0-skin ingredients. I like to use this as my setting powder for my eyes or lightly all over my skin to set my liquid foundation. It works beautifully on its own too.

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
I’ve raved and raved about this palette since I first got it over Christmas so I won’t go into too much detail (you can read my more in-depth thoughts here), but this my perfect palette for every day and special occasion. It’s my go-to palette right now and I’m really enjoying using it.

4. Givenchy Hot Couture Eau de Parfum
This perfume has been my ultimate favourite for so many years that it’s become my signature scent. I first discovered it when I started college and have worn it ever since, so it’s been a makeup bag staple for around 13 years now. With notes of raspberry, amber vetiver, magnolia and a sprinkling of pepper, it’s one of the most delicious and flirty fragrances that I’ve ever smelt. I’m complimented on this perfume all of the time and constantly asked what I’m wearing and I love that I get delicate wafts of it through the day whenever I wear it.

5.  Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick in Penelope Pink
This has been a makeup bag staple of mine since I was first introduced to it over a year ago. The gorgeous nude beige colour makes it the perfect nude shade and looks great on its own or with my NYX Butter Gloss over the top. The formula is smooth and creamy and is also paraben free. I find it lasts me a long time with minimal retouching which is perfect for busy days.
