After a pretty good run on the acne front, I was absolutely devastated to find myself breaking out yet again despite sticking religiously to taking my Lymecycline antibiotics and performing my La Roche Posay skincare routine as usual. Whether it’s the stress of uprooting my home and business again or just simply changes occurring throughout my body, my skin has seemed to plummet down again into the depths of acne which as any sufferer knows is a pretty depressing place.
With my current skincare tubes empty, I made the decision to look for a different skincare system and came across Paula’s Choice skincare for acne. I’d heard of the company plenty of times and frequently used their website to suss out ingredients of other skincare companies or read their extensive reviews, but it hadn’t really occurred to me to use Paula’s Choice skincare until now.
You can read all about Paula here and also take a look at the video below to find out a little more about Paula’s Choice.
After a little research, I added the Clear Regular Strength set – which is currently on offer at £59.40 – to my basket and waited eagerly for it to arrive.
On Monday, after just shy of a week, my little package of products arrived and I was so excited to start using them! The Clear Regular Strength set includes:
- Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser
- Clear Regular Strength Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution With 2% Salicylic Acid
- Clear Ultra-Light Daily Mattifying Fluid SPF 30+
- Clear Step by Step guide
Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser
This is a gentle face wash which will remove excess oil, desk skin cells and makeup from the skin without the usual irritating, drying ingredients you can usually expect in such a thorough cleanser. Formulated with acne-fighting antibacterial to prevent breakouts and soothing agents to reduce red marks and reduce redness. To be used twice daily.
Clear Regular Strength Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution With 2% Salicylic Acid
The gentle lotion will unclog pores, reduce redness and help to eliminate blackheads. The non drying formula has a lovely ‘light as water’ texture and feels gentle on the skin.
Clear Ultra-Light Daily Mattifying Fluid SPF 30+
With broad spectrum SPF, the fluid protects and mattifies the skin whilst helping to maintain a clear complexion and prevent signs of ageing.
I haven’t used the system too much yet to be able to give a review as I only started the routine on Monday evening, but I already feel like I’m doing something good for my skin. All of the products in this kit are 100% fragrance free, clinically proven to be non-irritating, contain no added dyes and are not tested on animals.
I’ll be writing a full review on these products after a month or so once they’ve had chance to really work into my skin, but in the meantime, keep a look out for a progress post!
