The Autumn Blogger Tag 2015

Today my post is the autumn blogger tag! I’ve been wanting to write the tag for so long now as you know just how much I adore the autumn (or fall, depending on where you live). The tag isn’t specifically beauty related, but more of a whole autumn favourites post. I hope that you enjoy having a read!

I hate to add to the biggest Autumn drink cliche but I really do love a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks! If you follow me on my social media, you’ll know my PSL game is STRONG! As soon as they’re released I’m there. With bells on. And hit me up with the whipped cream topping too – if you’re gonna do a PSL, you gotta do it right, right?!

2. Accessories – what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
I’m all about the boots! I love boots and my favourites recently have been a pair of Rocket Dog cowboy style boots that I’ve almost worn to death and a beautiful pair I got from Topshop many moons ago which definitely add a few inches to my modest height. Autumn is usually my favourite time to find a cool new pair of knee high boots – I usually opt for brown – but I haven’t quite gotten around to it just yet this month.

3. Music – what’s your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I quite like a bit of wallowing on those cold, crisp and sometimes even rainy days. I opt for music artists that soothe the soul like Nina Simone. I also really love listening to swing, jazz and soul but I can’t leave behind my favourite Johnny Cash records for long either – I like to listen to him when I feel sad or unwell as his songs remind me of my dad and somehow that’s comforting. Usually, I’m only a few doors away from my dad as we work in the same area but still, I find it relaxing!

4. Perfume – what’s your favourite scent for this time of year?
My absolute favourite and signature scent never fails to enchant me every time I wear it but it’s especially special in the autumn and winter. It’s described as a provocative, audacious, unique and glamorous scent and that’s exactly what I feel it embodies perfectly. With a wood and amber base mixed with magnolia and raspberry, it’s an absolutely gorgeous scent and one I am always complimented on.

5. Candles – what scents will you be burning this season?
Well, it has to be Yankee doesn’t it. The king of candles! I love the Candy Corn scent but haven’t actually picked one up yet. My most recent candle purchase to our home is a gorgeously scented Honey and Chocolate candle from Glade which takes me right back to winter in my university halls where my room was always full of candles and lovely and cosy!

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
I love making hearty parsnip soups and taking crisp, cold walks with my dogs. I love how everything looks so beautiful in that soft orange and yellow haze and how crunchy the leaves are when you walk along the pavements. I also really love that smell that only seems to come into the air in winter – it always excites me for halloween, bonfire night, christmas and the new year. I also really love getting home and snuggled up in my pyjamas watching movies and drinking hot chocolate and starting my christmas shopping! I love the whole feel of autumn and the promise of winter just around the corner.

7. Favourite makeup look?
I adore the vampy, glam makeup looks that always feature deep berry shades and fierce eyeliner flicks. There’s something so sumptuous about it that is just so appropriate for autumn and I love it!

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
I’m most looking forward to enjoying the beautiful scenery, the return of American Horror Story and of course, Halloween!
