Valak the Demon Nun Halloween makeup look

I absolutely love scary movies, so when The Conjuring 2 came out I was straight off to the cinema like a shot. I was so creeped out when I first got to see Valak in the film that I knew I had to re-create her for a Halloween makeup look. My poor mum was roped in to be made over into Valak and we set to work in the studio armed with cream paints, eyeshadows and of course, a pair of creepy contact lenses!

I purchased the Nun outfit from an eBay store and the cross used to belong to one of our family members – it made the perfect accessory to the look!

I’m really pleased with how the look turned out and I actually felt freaked out by my own mum whilst we were photographing the look afterwards! I think she played the part so well and I love the final shot that we got!
