Welcome back to RDMUA: An important update on our health and safety measures

We are delighted to let you know that we will be re-opening the RDMUA studio!

In line with the government’s guidelines, we will be opening our doors again on Saturday 1st August 2020.

In order to identify all safety concerns and implement sufficient controls, we have completed an extensive risk assessment referencing government and industry guidelines in the process. Based on this evaluation we have introduced some changes and additions to our previous processes and protocols. It is imperative for the safety of all that both staff and our clients support and adhere to these requirements.

Below is a summary of some of the important changes and additions to our procedures and protocols you will need to be aware of.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

For the foreseeable future, a health assessment questionnaire must be completed and sent back to us. This will be sent to you by email along with a client consultation form and must be sent back to us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Failure to provide this will mean that we cannot perform your treatment.

Please note: If you do attend your appointment and are unwell, you will be asked to leave immediately. You will not be entitled to receive a refund for the services booked.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please arrive to your appointment alone
We will be operating a one-to-one appointment schedule at the studio and ensuring that you do not cross paths with any other of our clients. You will not be able to bring a chaperone to your appointment.

Please wait in your car until asked to enter the studio

Please leave your personal items in the car
Handbags/phones/purses must be left outside in your car.

Please wash your hands
Upon entering the studio you will be asked to wash your hands.

FOR MOBILE APPOINTMENTS

If we are visiting you at your home or venue, it is important that health and safety measures are put in place before our arrival. We have strict rules to follow that are set out by both the Government and our insurance providers that are designed to keep ourselves and our clients safe.

Please note: If we deem the environment unsafe to work in, your appointment will NOT go ahead. In this event, you will not be entitled to a refund for the services booked.

Please read below carefully to ensure you have a safe, dedicated area.

Your space must:

  • Be well ventilated
  • Have only one person present in the space along with our makeup artist and assistant
  • Have adequate space to set out our makeup kit
  • Have a sink that can be easily accessed once we arrive and before we leave with a clear pathway that is not obstructed by others
  • Be free of food or drinks in the makeover area

By law, we may not enter your property if any of your residents or guests are shielding.

If you do not feel that your space is adequate, you must inform us immediately. We will be more than happy to accommodate your appointment at our studio.

THE EXTRA STEPS WE’RE TAKING TO KEEP YOU SAFE

We have always taken strict measures to ensure your safety. Additionally, we are now practising enhanced hygiene in the studio. This means that we are:

  • Sanitising all areas before and after client arrivals
  • Deep cleaning our kit between clients
  • Frequently washing our hands
  • Wearing PPE including shields, masks, gloves and aprons
  • Removing all magazines
  • Temporarily removing waiting areas and soft furnishings
  • Operating a ‘one-to-one’ policy
  • Temporarily suspending serving refreshments throughout appointments
  • Adhering to strict government guidelines and the advice of our insurer

We ask for your patience and understanding during this transitional phase and thank you for supporting us in ensuring we best safeguard all our clients and staff once we return to work.

See you soon!
