It’s time to hit the Riviera! As soon as I saw the new Riviera Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills, my heart swooned and I knew I just had to have it. Scouring the internet for the earliest release and finding the details on the Metro, I set a reminder on my phone so I wouldn’t miss getting a hold of the dreamy new palette.
After eagerly awaiting the launch on Selfridges.co.uk, I finally caved in and messaged the team on Twitter. I was devastated when they told me that they didn’t have an official launch date. Undeterred, I decided to shop from the UK Anastasia website instead. Nothing will keep this beauty lover from the new release she wants!
I’m a real lover of great eyeshadow palettes, and since falling in love with the Modern Renaissance offering, I just couldn’t pass this one up. First of all, the nautical and golden theme of the palette really grabbed my attention. The palette looks fun, flirty and above all, gorgeously summery! I also really love the vast collection of colours included – from beautiful brights to neutral hues that make great transition shades. We’re not used to seeing such vivid, daring colours from ABH, so the colours feel really fresh and energising – spring in a palette!
The palette comprises of 14 all-new matte and metallic shades:
Sails – a matte white
Yacht – a duo Chrome mauvy taupe with a violet shift
Seychelles – metallic aquamarine
Palermo – metallic jewel pink
Seaside – a duo-chrome silver with a subtle blue shift
Inheritance – metallic true gold
Mediterranean – metallic sky blue
Estate – matte soft pastel peachy pink
Cabana – matte muted birch mustard
Coastline – matte pastel soft peach
Bahamas – matte bright bold candy hot pink pressed pigment
Monte Carlo – matte cool mid-tone pink
Cannes – matte bright violet purple pressed pigment
Palm – matte dark chocolate brown pressed pigment
And of course, the palette also comes with a dual-ended brush for packing on the colours and blending them out.
The shades are all beautifully pigmented, and although some of them do have a bit of fall out, I can absolutely forgive this. The shades blend out beautifully and marry into each other effortlessly.
I really have so much love for this gorgeous palette, and I’m so glad that I decided to add it to my collection.
The palette retails at £46 which I think is a really reasonable price for such a high-performance palette. I just know that this is going to become one of my all-time favourites!
