The iconic Karl Lagerfeld fashion house announced last year that it would be introducing a colour cosmetics collection with ModelCo – the award-winning cult Australian beauty brand. They told us that the collection would be a limited edition and feature a range of innovative and collectable beauty products. Available globally through Karl Lagerfeld stores and Karl.com, the new collection certainly got tongues wagging.

The Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo limited edition colour collection will channel the theme of Illuminated Beauty and if the blush is anything to go by, the rest of the collection will be absolutely stunning!

I’ll start with the packaging. The lightweight black rounded case has a clear lid with the signature black Karl Lagerfeld silhouette printed on top. The packaging isn’t luxurious but it feels cool, kitsch and pretty special. The fact that this is an exclusive before the official launch makes the blush feel extra special too.

The formula itself is a gorgeous baked powder with the finest mica powder that adds a soft colour and illumination to the skin. It brightens and highlights without being over the top and is just the perfect colour for every season.

The product is labelled as a blush, but I find it more of a beautiful illuminator thanks to its soft colour payoff. It’s buildable, long-lasting and feels light on the skin. This is the perfect blush for those that want a pretty flush or are too afraid to go for it with a highly pigmented offering. The beautiful golden peachy colour is such a flattering tone and offers a really pretty flush to the skin.

I love the fact that the iconic Karl Lagerfeld brand has collaborated with ModelCo – it means that owning a special piece of Karl Lagerfeld is much more attainable and ModelCo is such a great company to be a part of this. This blush is classy, elegant and oh so beautiful!
