July beauty favourites

IMG_3636

July has been a strange month – from gloriously sunny days to downright inglorious downpours – I haven’t known which way to take my beauty routine from day to day. So this month, my July beauty favourites are a mixed bag of summery goodness and more comforting beauty care usually associated with the colder months.

1. St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower Lotion £9.50 for 200ml
A dividing product in the beauty world that’s either devotedly loved or severely disliked. I fall into the head over heels in love category. An extremely subtle tan that works in the shower over several applications and only takes three minutes of your time – sold to the fair skinned red head.

2. Library of Fragrance Sunshine Eau de Toilette £15 for 30ml
Whilst perusing the shelves of Boots and testing out plenty of products I definitely don’t need, I came across the Library of Fragrance sprays and thought they’d make a great summer handbag addition to refresh myself throughout days at the beach or just general summer living. The sprays come in a variety of scents but this one just beautifully encapsulated summertime with hints of fresh laundry, cherry blossom, gin and tonic, mango, vanilla ice cream and freshly cut grass.

3. KORE Optimal Repair Cream £50 for 50ml
I raved about this in my review of KORE Skincare for how nourishing and comforting it is to the skin. A product I’d usually reach for in the winter months when my skin feels dried out and less than happy. I found myself using this religiously until my sample ran out because I loved the plumped and refreshed skin I kept waking up to after use.

4. The Beautyblender £16 for one sponge applicator
Gone are the days of using my fingers to apply my foundation. I converted to the Beautyblender for my clients a long time ago but recently I’ve been very much enjoying using it on my own skin. Used to apply my MAC Studio Fix Fluid, I find that it gives me a beautifully even coverage whilst almost massaging my face during the process. I love to rinse the blender under extra cold water before removing the excess water and using it all over my face. Cooling and refreshing, I’ve tried may dupes of this little wonder sponge but trust me, this is the most flawless you’ll find.

5. Illamasqua Sculpting Palette £44 for six 3g shades
From the moment the DPD delivery driver placed this beauty in my hands, I haven’t been able to put on my face without using it. The ultimate palette for contouring, highlighting and adding a glow to the skin.

6. Garnier Ultimate Blends Sleek Perfector Oil £6.66 for 150ml
Blended with pure coconut oil, I like to apply this divine-smelling oil to freshly washed, wet hair before blow drying and styling. After styling, I like to apply a little to the ends of my hair to keep them sleek and smooth. The oil helps hair to resist frizz in up to 97% humidity and can also protect against damage from up to 230oC heat. I don’t feel like my hair care routine is completed properly without this and one bottle lasts for months and months. This month, I accidentally left my bottle back at my parents home so swiftly went out and invested in a new one. Phew.
