Just lately, I seem to be running out of products left, right and centre. Luckily, my beauty box subscriptions have refreshed my collections and given me a few new beauty treats to discover in the process!
This month, I wanted to share a few of my June beauty empties with you, along with my opinion on the products and whether I’d buy them again! It’s not all too often I find myself with a little collection of empties like this, but June was definitely the exception!
MAC Studio Fix Fluid, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light and MAC Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle
First up is my little collective of MAC products that I’ve bought over and over again – MAC Studio Fix Fluid and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle (to highlight) and Light (to set my foundation). Studio Fix is my Holy Grail foundation and no matter how far and wide I stray from it, I always return! I love how it lasts on my skin, the coverage it gives me and just the overall effect. I have a feeling I’ll always repurchase this foundation! By the way, the reason it looks so fancy is because I swapped my MAC pump for the Estee Lauder Double Wear lid…posh! Soft and Gentle is a gorgeous highlight but for the time being, I’ve fallen in love with MUA’s Shimmering Skin Perfectors so I’ll not be repurchasing this for now, but I already have a replacement for my Skinfinish in Light that I use to set my eyelid concealer.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
As you’ll know from reading my blog, I LOVE the Collection Lasting Perfection concealers. So much so that I’ve used TWO of them this month. I already have a stack of four waiting in my drawer so don’t panic, I’m well stocked! The best lid primer, brow carver, concealer and brightener I ever did own….
Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb Voluptuous Body Cream
Next up is the beautiful, divine, gorgeous and sumptuous Bomlicious Flowerbomb Body Cream. It smells heavenly and I’ll absolutely repurchase it in the future.
Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm in Peach
Another product I was gutted to run out of was the Carmex Moisture Plus lip balm in Peach. My favourite colour in the range! I have a few pots of regular Carmex about the studio and house so I’ll be holding off topping up my collection until I’ve finished the others, but rest assured, I will get hold of this beauty again.
Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil
An unexpected like of mine was the Oils of Life Facial Oil from Body Shop. I expected this to wreak havoc with my skin just like every other oil I’ve ever used, but it didn’t! I used it on my neck, chest and even on the tips of my hair to keep everything smooth, supple and smelling like an expensive spa. I won’t be repurchasing this as it wasn’t a wow product for me, but I certainly enjoyed trying it out while it lasted.
Vichy LiftActiv Supreme
One of my beauty subscription boxes introduced me to the Vichy Liftactiv Supreme and as I’d just run out of another one of my moisturisers, it was a welcome addition to my skincare drawer. I tried it and loved it so much so that I finished the tub in no time at all. Although I really loved this product, I’ll be sticking to my current La Roche Posay Toleriane moisturiser for the foreseeable future as it’s working wonders for my skin right now.
No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Sculpting Pencil in Brown
Lastly is my eyebrow saviour…the No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Sculpting Pencil in brown. I paddied when this product first came out – I didn’t want a twist up pencil, I wanted the original, sharpen-it-yourself jobbie. I didn’t buy it for a while in protest, but when I finally caved in and tried it, I was shocked! It was brilliant! I’ve gone through four and yes, I have it backed up already and use it daily along with my Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel.
I hope you’ve enjoyed having a read of my June empties. This post was actually meant to be a video, but after a filming mishap, I had to change it to a post as the Monica in me had already thrown all the empties into the recycling bins and by the time I realised the video was rubbish, I didn’t quite fancy getting on down in the garbage! Stay tuned for more beauty empties coming soon!
