March 2017 Lookfantastic Beauty Box Unboxing: The Elle Edit

Can you even believe that it’s that time again for another Lookfantastic Beauty Box Unboxing? It doesn’t seem two minutes ago that I was happily swatching and testing my way through the beautiful Runway Ready February box. I knew that this box would be another winner for me after seeing the preview online and realising that the March edition was curated by none other than the uber-stylish Elle magazine. You just know it’s going to be a beauty lovers delight when Elle are in the driving seat, and I’m pleased to say that the box didn’t disappoint.

Filled to the brim with catwalk inspired goodies, the latest products in innovation and even a good old dose of forward-thinking skincare, the Elle edit is a very welcome addition to my makeup office.

I always like to pick a hero product from my beauty box subscriptions to talk about in a little more depth, and this month it has to be the PÜR Minerals Disappearing Act Concealer. I swatched this on my own hand during the video, but since then, I persuaded my mum to use it all over face – yes, all over! And do you know what? It looked beautiful. My mum struggles to find a foundation or a concealer that ‘fits’ with her skin type, lasts the day and looks flawless, and I think we found the perfect alternative. Her skin looked radiant, completely smoothed over and even, yet it looked completely natural at the same time.

The PÜR Minerals Disappearing Act concealer not only hides any imperfections, but also cares for the skin thanks to its own Ceretin complex of retinol and ceramides that help to calm irritated skin and also improve moisture levels. It also contains salicylic acid and Waltheria extract so you can be sure that your skin is being treated throughout wear. On top of that, it’s also buildable so you can apply extra in any areas that you might like to conceal a little more. I’d recommend setting it with a powder afterwards – Ben Nye’s Neutral Set is my favourite.
