I recently acquired a tube of the Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask in my August Glossybox and was really looking forward to trying it out. As you’ll know if you read my blog often, I love a good weekly face mask!
The Mudmasky mask is PH-Balanced and promises to refine pores and brighten all whilst keeping skin hydrated and smooth, energised, and looking healthier and plumper.
The mask instructs you to wash your hands and face, apply a thin layer and leave it on for 7 minutes for dry or dehydrated skin, 9 minutes for normal to combination skin and 11 minutes for oily skin before removing it with cold water and repeating the process once to twice per week.
I tried the mask a few days ago when my skin was feeling a little lacklustre, tired and in need of a boost. I applied the mask to my clean skin and instantly loved how it felt. The tiny micro particles really help to exfoliate and clean the skin as you gently apply the mask, and the soft tingling sensation feels really renewing and energising. I also really enjoyed the smell of the mask – I find it hard to describe but it’s a typical luxury mud mask smell but with extra freshness, and not overpowering at all.
I left the green toned mask on for 9 minutes – my skin is in-between dry and oily so I treat it as combination – and rinsed away the mask with cool water. My skin felt so refreshed and smooth after the mask, and the tone of my skin also looked a little more balanced and much healthier and energised.
I loved using this mask and have used it once again since. It really helps my skin to feel refreshed and renewed after each use and it feels lovely and luxurious on the skin. I also love the tiny micro particles that help to exfoliate and slough off dead skin cells leaving brighter, younger skin underneath.
