I’ve been really looking forward to receiving the first lookfantastic Beauty Box of 2020. If you don’t subscribe to any boxes like this yourself, you’ll not understand the sheer feeling of joy I have when it arrives at my door.

There’s nothing like knowing you’re going to be receiving a gorgeous box of beauty treats every single month. It might sound indulgent, but I’m such a believer in enjoying the things in life that make me feel great. To me, my lookfantastic beauty box is a little sanctuary. It’s also a little box of sanity – without my pamper time, I’d feel a frazzled mess.  I love the whole process of opening my Beauty Box – from pulling back the tissue paper (which is always matched to the colour theme) to getting the first peek of what’s inside.

My mum always says she doesn’t know where I get my giddiness for beauty goodies from because it’s certainly not her. Sure, she loves her beauty products and makeup, but she’s not quite so obsessed that her ‘head feels fizzy’ when there’s a cool new launch on its way to the studio. (Does anybody else get that excited fizzy feeling about beauty products, or am I really just a little weirdo?)

This month, the theme of the lookfantastic beauty box is ‘Revive’, which I think is pretty appropriate post mince pie and prosecco season! It features a mix of products to pamper our skin, body and hair and even has a lip product from one of my favourite brands, Lord & Berry.

For me, the Revive edition is a lovely box to ease us into 2020. I’m happy with the product selection and will use everything aside from the Tea Tree Oil (purely because I use Differin or Retinol to deal with problematic skin and it works so well for me). I think it’s really hard to curate a box that is going to be ‘perfect’ for the masses, so I always expect that there might be something that I can’t use myself. In those cases, I either pop the products into my professional makeup kit, or gift them to my friends.
