Amrezy Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette review

The Amrezy Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette was NOT gifted to me

As soon as I saw the beautiful sparkly pink Amrezy palette appear on my Instagram feed, I knew I just had to have it. My dad has called me a little magpie for years. Anything shiny or sparkly, and my attention is immediately diverted from whatever I was doing.

If you don’t know who Amrezy (or Amra Olevic Reyes) is, click here to check out her Instagram. Amra is well known for her fashion and beauty posts, and her likeness to a certain Kim Kardashian! She’s a fabulous person to follow if you love everything glitzy and glamorous – her insta grid is absolutely dreamy!

I’m a huge fan of Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes – I currently own the Modern Renaissance Palette (my first ever ABH baby), and the Riviera Palette. I adore both of them equally. I would really love to own the Soft Glam and the Norvina Palette someday, too. They are just so beautiful!

Anyway, I immediately headed to the UK Anastasia Beverly Hills website to double-check that I was on the mailing list so I could snap the palette up upon its release. A day or two later, I got the email I’d been waiting for and clicked my way as fast as I could to the checkout doing a little happy dance along my way…

The Amrezy Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette

The palette arrived a couple of days later – I actually received free express shipping which just added to my excitement! I wrestled the package from my dad and quickly opened it to proudly show him. “It’s an eyeshadow palette.” Dad stated.
“Yes! Isn’t it stunning?” I practically screamed. Dad shrugged his shoulders whilst laughing and said “Yeah, it’s okay, I guess. Haven’t you got loads of those?” I didn’t justify him with a response. No amount of eyeshadows are ever enough, are they? There’s always room for one more beautiful palette. Men, hey?

The colour story is stunning and has 16 all-new shades | Amrezy Anastasia Beverly Hills Palette review

As you can see from the photographs, the palette is a gorgeous iridescent pink and sparkles and shimmers away beautifully! The palette includes the signature dual-ended Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow brush, and also includes a mirror which can be a lifesaver for makeup on the go!

The shades

The palette has 16 brand new shades created by Amrezy. There’s plenty of choice to take your look from desk to dance floor – you can be as safe or daring as you please! There’s a gorgeous selection of mattes, metallics and pigmented glitters which are incredibly sparkly!

The shade names and colours are:

The results

The shades are all beautifully pigmented (you can see me swatching some in my video below), and blend together seamlessly. There is quite a bit of kickback in the pan, so you’ll need to tap your brush off carefully before applying to your eyes to avoid fall-down. The pressed glitter pigments are so easy to use, but will always work better when used with a damp brush, pressed on with your finger or applied over the top of a base (such as a glitter adhesive).

Amrezy said: “I wanted to make a palette that had every shade you would need for any mood, any occasion. It comes with your everyday neutrals, your pinks for when you’re feeling flirty, and your smoky shades to kick things up a notch. This one palette is my new go-to for creating any look I can dream up.”

Is the Amrezy Palette worth it?

Personally, I think the palette is worth a purchase. For starters, the packaging is so beautiful, and the eyeshadow colours really follow suit. The formula feels lovely and is so easy to work with, I think makeup novices and professionals alike will enjoy the palette and get some great use out of it. It really screams Amrezy and I think she’s done a fantastic job of putting a palette together that perfectly captures her personality. Congratulations, Amra, on your beautiful new palette!
