The September 2019 Glossybox is centred around delicious beauty. Containing six (instead of the usual five) food-inspired beauty products, my interest was certainly piqued in anticipation.

I’d heard on the grapevine that I could expect to receive a Godiva chocolate bar in my Glossybox – something I was seriously looking forward to. If you haven’t tried Godiva chocolate before, or indeed, Godiva hot chocolates, I highly recommend that you do. They are the perfect treat for a cold, blustery day.

Mitchell and Peach Flora No.1 is my hero product of this month’s Glossybox

One of the Hero products of the Delicious Beauty box for me is the Flora No. 1 Fine Edition Eau de Parfum by Mitchell and Peach. It’s a beautifully scented haze of sweet fennel, larkspur, rose, ylang-ylang, peony and Lavender. I’m sure you can imagine just how delicious it smells. It’s that type of beautiful scent that feels so soft and lovely and leaves you wanting more. The perfume is hand-blended and filled with pure essential oils that are actually grown on the Mitchell and Peach estate.

I was so taken by the perfume that I decided to take a look at the story of the brand and fell in love pretty quickly. Mitchell and Peach actually launched in 2010, but their estate has been carefully tended for many years. They describe generations of local people who put their time and love into the estate, applying time-honoured know-how and skills into cultivating the land and tending the plantations to produce the beautiful ingredients needed to create their exceptional products.

There’s just something lovely and homely about the feel of the brand, but it still maintains an air of elegance too. Flora No.1 is described as a ‘sophisticated floral’ with a ‘singular depth, warmth and elegance.’ I was very happy to see that there is actually a whole collection based around the Flora No. 1 scent which contains decadent products right from a luxurious bath oil (which I’m betting is just heavenly) to a face oil. If you’re interested in the brand and the other products that they create, take a look here to find out more.

A little piece of welcome news also arrived in my September Glossybox – the arrival of the Glossybox Advent Calendar! This year, the calendar is worth an amazing £370 and is available to subscribers for just £70. I think that’s an incredibly generous value of products for the cost of the calendar. What’s more, the Glossybox Advent Calendar looks just as divine as you’d imagine – a beautiful fusion of the softest pinks, golds, greys and whites. It would certainly look very pretty beside my rose gold and white themed Christmas tree in my makeup room.
