May 2016 Glossybox Unboxing

Welcome to the May 2016 Glossybox Unboxing! With a sudden peak in the weather and the return of itchy feet ready for the summer, Glossyox arrived just on time with it’s City Break themed boxes. Full of makeup and travel beauty goodies, the box was a breath of fresh air with exciting products to try. Some I already knew of, some I’d never come across before.

My hero products of the box this month were the Velvet Lippie by Absolute New York, the Revlon Super Length Mascara and of course, the Sweet and Salted Proper Corn! The Velvet Lippie is an amazing Lilac creme lipstick entitled Lolita. This reminds me so much of the Creme Puff lipsticks that Collection (formerly Collection 2000) used to sell. I used to LOVE the lip cremes and was gutted when I heard they’d been discontinued as I’d never seen another product like them. I prayed to the makeup Gods for an alternative, and ta-daa! Glossybox came up with the goods and delivered it right to my door. I layered this beautiful lip creme over the top of my Illamasqua Lip Slick Stick in Flush for that gorgeous purple hue.

Revlon’s Super Length Mascara was a little surprise in a tube, but I won’t say much on it right now as I have a review coming soon – keep your eyes peeled!

My last hero product was of course, Proper Corn! Well played Glossybox for sending us a little snack for post-box-opening excitement! Like I mention in my video, my popcorn was gone by the end of the afternoon and made a great desk snack whilst I edited the video below for you all.
