PUR Liquid Veil 4-in-1 spray foundation infused with Liquid Crystals

For years I’ve been dying to try a spray on foundation, so I was thrilled when I was kindly gifted the PUR Liquid Veil 4-in1 spray foundation infused with liquid crystals to try out.

Years ago, I used to use the Sally Hansen spray on tan for my legs in the summer time and it was an absolute revolution. A super fast, ultra airbrushed finish without the fuss of an actual airbrush machine. Today, foundations have evolved and are also now widely available in spray form, but there’s something extra special about PÜR’s offering – it’s infused with liquid crystals for that beautiful finish. The foundation is described as ultra-light, skin-perfecting coverage in a one-of-a-kind formula that’s been years in the making. The non-butane spray on foundation is both a hydrator and skin perfecter in one. The aforementioned Liquid Crystals retain moisture and reflect light to give skin that beautiful dewy, fresh finish seen on the supermodels, and PÜR’s proprietary Ceretin® Complex gives a satin-smooth finish.

The foundation comes in four colours; Light, Medium, Tan and Dark. I was sent the Medium which is a little dark for my fair skin. I started out by prepping my skin as usual with my Jurlique Restorative Serum before taking the bottle and spraying a little onto my face to see how the spray applied (the company recommends to use a brush but I wanted to see how it applied directly). Although the spray applied beautifully, it’s much easier to first spray the foundation onto a brush and gently buff into the skin – I used my Zoeva 103 Defined Buffer Brush to gently buff and smooth the foundation into my skin. I instantly noticed how the foundation felt on my skin, a little heavier than I was used to, but after buffing it gently out, my skin felt comfortable and had that beautiful, even-coverage and glow that the foundation promises. The coverage is very natural but good, I did try to build the formula up but found that it remained more of a medium coverage throughout and still allowed my natural freckles to shine through. Something I don’t mind at all when aiming for summery, glowing skin!

I set the foundation as usual with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light, added my usual bronzer, brow products, mascara and lipstick and was ready to go!

I’m always really picky about my foundations, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results this foundation gave me. It feels lovely and smooth on the skin and if you touch your face throughout the day, you’ll feel the gorgeously, silky texture. I think this foundation would be amazing for people with all skin types, however, if you have skin that’s on the oilier side, make sure to powder and set the foundation after application for the best results throughout the day.
